Simon is never one to shy away from a challenge. Armed with an infectious enthusiasm for learning and a keen eye for detail, he has quickly become an invaluable member of the team. He joined us looking after logistics and, before long, worked his way into stock control, keeping the shelves organised and making sure the timber you need is ready when you need it.
While timber is a relatively new industry for Simon, he’s no stranger to getting stuck into something different. His career has taken him from baking bread and shipping computer parts around the world to working as a train conductor, proving that if there’s a job to be learned, Simon will find a way to master it. Fortunately for us, that same adaptability helped him get up to speed with timber in record time.
The variety doesn’t stop when the working day ends either. When he’s not keeping our stock in order, you’ll usually find him on the golf course perfecting his swing, or behind a camera honing his skills as a self-taught photographer. In short, Simon is a man of many talents, and we’re very glad he decided timber was next on the list.
