Craig brings more than 25 years of hands-on timber industry experience, having started his career at just 16 with W L West. He began in the yard picking orders and loading lorries, worked his way up to Yard and Transport Manager, then became Main Buyer before moving into Sales.
Timber is truly in his blood, his father was the company’s main sawyer, so sawdust and stacks of boards have been part of his world since childhood.
Outside of the yard, Craig keeps busy playing football for a local Saturday side, running, and heading out on his mountain bike whenever time allows. He’s married with two young children, and as a family they love getting outdoors together (when they can coax the kids away from their screens!). Music is another passion, you’ll often find Craig discovering new bands or heading to gigs whenever he can.
Craig brings deep knowledge, genuine enthusiasm, and a lifelong appreciation for timber and we’re thrilled to have him on board as we continue growing our offering and supporting makers across the UK.
