Founded in 1957 by Roy W Armstrong, this is a fourth generation family business, specialising in project management and high quality craftsmanship. It is their mission to provide architects and interior designers with a comprehensive service, underpinned by the understanding that a good design is only realised through careful project management and expert craftsmanship. To deliver this, Armstrong employs a large workforce of talented craftsmen, co-ordinated by CIOB qualified contracts managers and site managers with years of experience under their tool belts. Rounding out their enviable service, reliable specialists, sub-contractors and suppliers reinforce the entire process, ensuring successful delivery of every project they take on.

As a company, R W Armstrong places a great deal of importance on the environment, implementing sustainable solutions on many of their projects, and developing a vast knowledge of sustainable building over the years. They ensure all products used are non-harmful to the environment, including the timber they source from us. Their sustainable methods go beyond the environment, too – proud to support their local community, they actively engage with a number of charities that support their employees. They are committed to passing down and keeping alive traditional skills, and have been training apprentices in traditional craftsmanship for over 40 years, as well as sponsoring staff through higher education and university degrees. Some of the apprentices are now running the company.
