Collections & Deliveries
Timber is big, heavy old stuff. You can’t just pick it up and put it in your backpack.
We know the most popular way to get timber back to the ranch is to take it away with you, but if you can’t do that then we’ve got ways and means of delivering a heavy load.
We look at each job individually, we find you the best options available and we let you make your own choice on delivery method and cost.
As a working timber merchant we do have our own vehicles (a 7.5t curtain side lorry and a 3.5t transit pick-up truck) but we also use external haulage companies, pallet companies, courier companies and the good old Royal Mail.
Having said all that, you are always welcome to come to the woodyard to collect your timber order… we’re not proud.
Here’s a checklist of our current Delivery Options:
Collection – come and get it!
Courier Service – Maximum 3.6M long & 20kgs in weight
Transit pickup for loads up to 1.5t
Lorry for loads up to 3.5t
HIAB Lorry (with a crane!) for loads bigger than 3.5t
Pallet Delivery – lengths are per pallet length 1.2/2.4/3.6m etc and load limits vary.

Problems
If you think something is wrong with your order please don’t hesitate to get straight on the phone 01730 816941 and talk to us.
Sometimes we make genuine mistakes, sometimes there are misunderstandings, we know that’s life. It happens.
But if it happens we want to know about it and want to make things right.
If we make a mistake with your order then it is our responsibility to correct that mistake and we will do so without delay and with the minimum inconvenience to you.
We’re not interested in being right, we’re interested in you being delighted with our timber and our service.
Returns & Refunds
When you come to our yard to choose some timber and within a reasonable time frame (see our T&C) decide you don’t want to use it, for whatever reason, we’ll gladly take it back unused and give you a refund, less any administration costs.
If your timber was a bespoke/custom cutting order then, regretfully, it’s not something we can take back and in this case the timber is non-returnable and non-refundable.
(Better to be safe than sorry, read our Terms & Conditions )
Hmmm, you look puzzled…. still not sure?
