When you want a smooth planed finish, an interlocking, rainscreen or moulded profile, when you want stable, seasoned timber, when you want longer lengths and a systematic installation, or when you just prefer the aesthetics. That's when you opt for air dried timber cladding over fresh sawn.
Air dried (seasoned) timber is the right stuff for external joinery and furniture use. Kiln dried timber, unless re-acclimatised* is a risk if you make furniture or joinery products for use outside. Kilning is a process that reduces moisture to a level that makes timber appropriate and fit for use in interior spaces, centrally heated, air conditioned with low ambient moisture levels of 8-14%.
We produce profiles, mouldings and machined componentry for joiners and furniture makers. Pick any spec or profile from any stock, we'll produce to order.
