We don’t take our Scots Pine for granted. When we have it in stock we make the most of it!
This native Pine is not terribly common but is often found as an ornamental specimen. It grows very tall and usually with broad girth accordingly. This results in potentially enormous boards. We have cut, dried and prepared Scots Pine for bespoke flooring works which is the perfect use for this dramatic tree.
It has similar colour and grain properties to Douglas Fir when fresh sawn and dried and therefore could feasibly be used in the same way. The downside is that it is not available in large volumes for timber stock so it very well suited to bespoke projects, and it is particularly attractive as flooring because of the size boards that it makes.
